Castrads Colours

NEW! During 2008 Castrads new stock will arrive from the foundry in an off white powder coat. Radiators will be supplied in this finish as standard at no extra cost. Powder coat is a tough polymer coating which has a smooth superior finish. Your radiator can be used in this powder coat finish, or it is easily sprayed by you or Castrads in a colour of your choice. Hamerite or Plastikote aerosol cans are fine for the purpose. If Castrads do the spraying for you the charge is £7 per section + VAT.

The spray paint colours shown above are kept in stock. Other stock colours include gloss black, olive green, mahogany brown, and sapphire blue. All prices attract VAT.

If you want to spray the radiator yourself ordinary aerosol paints such as Hamerite and Plastikote are fine for the purpose. You can use a brush instead of spraying but it is a slow job. White spirit based paints such as Dulux can be used but they are slow to dry and are not amenable to spraying. When spraying off white powder coated radiators, key the surface with emery paper first.

For a full range of colours, go to the Farrow & Ball website, Farrow & Ball. The international standard for colours is the RAL colour index. To see this colour range click on RAL Colour Chart.

Please note that there is a £40 + VAT charge for paint bought in specially. Where your colour choice is close to one already in stock, Castrads will offer that instead to avoid this charge.
